Houston Texans Touchdowns Mean Donations For Foster Kids

This season, Mattress Firm pledged to donate $1,000 to Mattress Firm Foster Kids for every touchdown the Texans scored at home. On Oct. 1, Mattress Firm, the official mattress retailer of the Houston Texans, celebrated Kid’s Day with the Texans by donating $22,000 to Mattress Firm Foster Kids.

The Mattress Firm Foster Kids program was launched in response to a need to provide essential items to foster families and children, who all too often, show up to their new foster homes with only the clothes on their backs.

Mattress Firm Foster Kids wants to help give foster kids the tools they need to succeed – whether it’s clothes, shoes, school supplies or special gifts around the holidays.

Most recently, Mattress Firm Foster Kids launched its “Little Victories” campaign, which strives to shed light on the little wins that foster children and parents experience every day. Parenting can be tough, but these special moments – anything from a child eating all their vegetables, to losing a tooth – make it all worthwhile.

Right now, you can help a foster child in your local area by participating in Mattress Firm Foster Kids’ Toy Drive. Anytime between now and Dec. 17, bring your donation of new and unwrapped gifts to a Mattress Firm location near you to help keep the holiday spirit alive for local foster children.
